T-ball pictures!!!

I love this time of year! Camden is playing t-ball and he is doing such a good job!
He is the cutest little man in his uniform! Just had to share!
There will be plenty more to come! These pics are from his first game!

My little man is so cute!
He hit the ball twice and made it home! YAY! Go Camden!!!

Well some exciting things have been happening since my last post!

I have found a new love in my life...my new car!!! I have been wanting a new ride for quite some time, and I finally got one!! It is a Jeep Liberty and it is so cute! Now we are just one big happy Jeep family! Mine is way better than my hubby's!! ;)

Camden is now playing t-ball! I don't have any pics yet, but I know my blog will be full of them soon! He told his t-ball coach that he was going to be the bestest baseball player ever, just like "Big Ruth"! I tried to explain to him that the name he was looking for was Babe Ruth...but, he wasn't having it. He was right and his name is Big Ruth. So, now his coach calls him Big Ruth and it is the cutest thing ever. I just love my little man!

I am also going to take this time to brag on my wonderful husband! He is an amazing man of God! I often don't give him the credit that he deserves! I am so blessed to have him in my life! He is a wonderful husband and the most amazing father! I just love him!!

Until next time my friends!

Merry Christmas!

In todays' day and time,
it's easy to lose sight,
of the true meaning of Christmas
and one special night.

When we go shopping,
We say "How much will it cost?"
Then the true meaning of Christmas,
Somehow becomes lost.

Amidst the tinsel, glitter
And ribbons of gold,
We forget about the child,
born on a night so cold.

The children look for Santa
In his big, red sleigh
Never thinking of the child
Whose bed was made of hay.

In reality,
When we look into the night sky,
We don't see a sleigh
But a star, burning bright and high.

A faithful reminder,
Of that night so long ago,
And of the child we call Jesus,
Whose love, the world would know.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow!! It has been forever since my last post! I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and share this little poem!

I am thankful:

For the wife
Who says it's hot dogs tonight
Because she is home with me
And not out with someone else.

For the husband
Who is on the sofa
Being a couch potato
Because he is home with me
And not out at the bars.

For the teenager
Who is complaining about doing dishes
Because it means she is at home,
Not on the streets.

For the taxes I pay
Because it means
I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party
Because it means I have
Been surrounded by friends

For the clothes that fit a little too snug
Because it means
I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work
Because it means
I am out in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing,
Windows that need cleaning,
And gutters that need fixing
Because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining
I hear about the government
Because it means
We have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot
I find at the far end of the parking lot
Because it means
I am capable of walking,
And I have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill
Because it means
I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church
Who sings off key
Because it means I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing
Because it means
I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles
At the end of the day
Because it means I have been
Capable of working.

For the alarm that goes off
In the early morning hours
Because it means
I am alive.

And finally, for too much e-mail
Because it means
I have friend who is thinking of me.

Stay sharp!!

Proverbs 27:17 (New International Version)

17 As iron sharpens iron,
so one man sharpens another.

As we are meeting new people, it is important that we stay sharp! The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy..
If we stay on track and stay sharp...the enemy has already lost the battle. The importance of staying sharp, is so we may sharpen others! We are told to go and make diciples...sharpen others in the process! God blesses obdience... Stay in faith, be obedient and stay sharp!!!

4th of July...and ship wrecked.....

7:42 AM Edit This 3 Comments »
First off, I would just like to say this 4th is one I will always remember!!!

It has become a tradition to go out on the boat every 4th of July! It is so much fun! We actually put in the boat close to where we live, and it usually takes about an hour to get downtown!! We usually enjoy the nice sunshine and just kick back and relax...
But, this is how our trip went....
We got to the ramp to launch the boat...and it was raining! I had been checking my phone and it was just a little storm that was going to blow over..so, we waited! It finally stopped raining and we sat off! It was cloudy and a little chilly on the ride to downtown...but, it wasn't all that bad! We got about 20 minutes from downtown and I check my phone...I had like 7 missed calls!! I checked my voicemail...and to my surprise, it was my family...they were calling to tell us to get off the river! Apparently there were thunderstorm warnings all over Tennessee. So, we were now 15 minutes away from the fireworks and if we turned back, it was a 45 minute ride back. We decided we would watch the fireworks really quick and head back. The fireworks were great! But, all at once the bottom fell out! Here we were...in the middle of the river during a thunderstorm. We all grabbed our blankets and towels and took cover! Everything we had was soaked...everything!!! We finally got the boat under the bridge and we were able to catch a break from the rain! We waited for an hour or so...the longest hour of my life...lol! We finally decided we would try to make it back. We were still soaked and freezing cold! We made it back to the boat ramp about an hour later...
This was a time to rejoice!!! YAY....LAND!!!! Overall, the night was long, wet, cold, full of bugs and full of laughs! It is really funny now that I think back!! This is for sure one 4th that I will never forget!

I am not even sharing pictures.... We looked scary by the end of the night!! LOL!

If you would like to check out the wonderful fireworks... go check out Travis and Ashley's blog!! LOL!
